Felino Palafox Jr.

Felino "Jun" Albano Palafox Jr., born in 1950, is among the best known architect-urban planners in the Philippines and the founder of Palafox Associates, which he established in 1989. He earned his architecture degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 1972 and a master's in environmental planning from UP Diliman in 1974, later completing an advanced management program for real estate at Harvard University in 2003.

As a young professional he joined the team that planned modern Dubai, serving as a senior architect and planner for the Dubai government from 1977 to 1981. His firm reports more than 1,800 projects across 40 countries, and in 2006 it became the first Filipino architectural practice to enter the World Architecture Top 500, ranked 94th.

His best documented works are in Metro Manila, where Palafox Associates master planned the Rockwell Center redevelopment in Makati and served as architect of record for its Rizal Tower. The firm is also credited with the New Manila International Airport aerotropolis in Bulacan. In 2019 the PRC named him Most Outstanding Professional in Environmental Planning.
