About
William Ti Jr. is a Filipino architect and the founder of WTA Architecture and Design Studio, which he established in 2007. He earned his architecture degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 2002 and a master's in urban design from the National University of Singapore in 2012, and he also founded the Anthology Architecture and Design Festival, a platform for architectural discourse in Southeast Asia.
Ti is known for a practice centered on social architecture, describing his role not just as a builder of spaces but as a builder of hope. His work prioritizes human-centered, sustainable and socially relevant public design, and the studio has grown to operate from Manila, Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
His signature works include The Book Stop Project, a mobile pop-up microlibrary that won Architizer People's and Jury's Choice awards, and the open-source Emergency Quarantine Facilities designed to augment hospital capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic. His Ferdinand E. Marcos Stadium in Laoag, completed in 2024, introduced an open stadium park concept and won ArchDaily's Building of the Year for sports in 2025.
