Fulgar Architects

Fulgar Architects is a Manila-based practice founded in 2013 by architect Ian Fulgar, a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Architecture. The firm frames each development as a chance to add functional, cultural, and economic value, and describes its residential approach as tailoring homes to the needs, personalities, and aspirations of their owners.

Alongside houses, the studio carries a heavy load of hospitality, resort, golf estate, and mixed-use work, which shapes a portfolio that moves easily between the domestic and the large-scale leisure project.

A clear example of the residential side is The Swan House in Quezon City, a single-level sculptural bungalow organized around a central garden conservatory and angular, tessellated paneling. The house shows the firm's habit of treating a home as a piece of livable sculpture.
