What they do

PXP Design Workshop is a Makati-based architecture and interior design studio co-founded by architects Patrick Espiritu and Spencer Sy. Both trained at well-known Singapore practices before starting PXP, Espiritu at CMD and Sy at SCDA, and they frame their work around human-centered, climate-responsive design that pulls nature into the built environment. Espiritu describes their planning as "heavily influenced by the classical way of planning spaces, defined by symmetry and sensitive scaling."

The studio's signature work is residential. House of Screens, completed in 2022, is a 700-square-meter family home in a private Quezon City village defined by teak timber screens on its west-facing facade for tropical climate control, with landscape by Plontur. ET New Manila House, completed in 2020, is a roughly 1,000-square-meter Quezon City residence conceived as a garden oasis in the middle of the city.

The practice works as a design studio offering architecture and interiors rather than a design-build contractor, and routes landscape to outside collaborators.
