What they do
RU Design+Build (R. Untivero Design+Build) is a Parañaque-based design-build practice founded in 2003 and led by principal architect Ryan Paul Untivero, a University of Santo Tomas graduate who trained at the Richville group before opening his own studio. It positions itself as having pioneered the design-build scene in Parañaque, taking on mid- to high-end residences, condominium fit-outs, showrooms and resort projects.
The firm works on a single-contract model and lists architectural, interior, graphic, branding and landscape design among its in-house services, so design, landscape and construction are handled by one team rather than split across separate consultants.
Signature residential work includes the Weekend House in Tagaytay, published by BluPrint in 2024, a modern-minimalist retreat of concrete and glass that preserves the site's existing trees and uses breeze blocks for ventilation. Other projects include the Ridge House, the Canopy House (recognized at the Atap Design Awards 2024 in Kuala Lumpur) and the Sisid Anilao beachfront resort.
