What they do

Leandro V. Locsin Partners, or LVLP, is a Makati-based practice that continues the architectural work begun by Leandro V. Locsin, who was proclaimed National Artist of the Philippines for Architecture in 1990. Locsin shaped much of the country's civic landscape from the 1950s onward, and the firm still operates from the Locsin Building on Ayala Avenue.

The practice is now led by Andy Locsin, also known as Leandro Y. Locsin Jr., who has guided major projects including the 2004 redesign of the Ayala Museum. Across its history the firm has produced a large body of public and commercial buildings alongside private houses.

On the residential side, the founder's own home, the Leandro V. Locsin Residence in Forbes Park, Makati from 1963, remains a reference point for the firm's brand of monumental yet grounded Filipino modernism. The studio's public-facing portfolio site is currently being rebuilt.
